State Constructing 2 Colleges

Construction of a teachers' education training and a technical and vocational training colleges is underway in Kebredehar Town, Somali Regional State with over 100 million Birr, the regional urban development and construction bureau said. Bureau Deputy Head, Ahmed Shukri Abdi said Tuesday that the colleges have capacity to enroll a total of 10,000 trainees. The colleges, which are being constructed with the budget allocated by the regional government, will have dormitories, classrooms, dining halls and offices. Ahmed said the facilities will contribute in the efforts to meet the MDGs in the education sector thereby speed up overall development in the state.
