The drinking water coverage of Gambella town, Gambella Regional State, has increased from 40 per cent to 65 per cent, according to the town’s water service and sewerage agency.
Agency Director General, Abula Udangi, attributed the increase to the installation of water pumps procured at a cost 2.1 million birr.
He said the agency is working with full capacity to push the coverage to 100 per cent.
He further said that the agency is doing its level best to raise its number of clients from 2,690 to 3,500 at the end of this fiscal year.
