Ethiopia's National Panel of Experts linked to the Renaissance Dam project dismiss as biased to Egypt criticisms of the dam levelled by US-based environmental group
The National Panel of Experts linked to the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) has slammed the International Rivers Network (IRN) for criticising the Renaissance Dam project, accusing the body of being biased and supporting Egypt against the dam.

It is announced that the renaissance dam’s neighboring woredas are engaged in tight joint security starting from the beginning of the construction.
The renaissance dam’s neighboring town, Chagni’s security affairs chief, Birhane Berhe said that “since twelve neighboring woredas of the area are collaborating in the joint security control, there is minimal security problem in the area.” The joint security of the woredas have a once in a three months security meeting with the region’s authorities and representatives of the federal affairs minister.

Ethiopia and China have entered into a $72.5m loan deal from the China Import-Export Bank for the expansion of the Addis Ababa International Airport, local media reports said on Monday.
The reports said that the Ethiopian Parliament approved the bill for the loan deal, expected to be paid back in 13 years, through its Budget and Finance Committee for the Airport Project.
