Vehicles stuck at the Bekelcha Dry Port for over a week while carrying reinforcement bars for the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) and other power generation projects have finally been given tax clearance. This came following a written order on August 14, 2013, from Beker Shale, the director general of the Ethiopian Revenues & Customs Authority (ERCA).
