Construction Sector Need To Be Led By Knowledge: Forum

The Minister of Urban and Construction said on Saturday Ethiopia is making huge investment in the construction sector.

Speaking on a discussion forum on the construction sector held at African Union Hall, State Minister Hailemeskel Tefera said the nation is making huge investment on mega projects.

The discussion forum was held under the theme: “let us cooperate to create industry led by knowledge”.

Hailemeskel also noted challenges facing the sector such as problems of planning, completing within schedule and quality, among others. He underscored the significance of the forum to address the challenges.

President of the Ethiopian Construction Technology Management Professionals’ Association, Enjineer Wubshet Jekale for his part said the forum aims at addressing the lack of being led by knowledge which he said is the major problem in Ethiopia.

The forum deliberated on presentation on experiences of various countries.
